Permanent makeup & SPMU aftercare form
A permanent makeup aftercare form gives the client written healing instructions (keep clean and dry, avoid sun, swimming, makeup and picking for the healing period) and records their acknowledgement against the treatment. Documenting that aftercare was provided protects you if a client doesn't follow it and later complains about results.
What permanent makeup aftercare should include
- Keep the area clean and dry; follow the artist's washing/blotting routine.
- Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds, swimming, saunas and heavy sweating during healing.
- Do not pick or scratch flaking skin; avoid makeup over the area until healed.
- Apply only the recommended aftercare product as instructed.
- Expected colour shift and the timing of any top-up appointment.
- When to seek advice (signs of infection or unusual reaction).
